1. Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the SinyalHidup mobile application and its related services. “SinyalHidup,” “we,” or “us” means the team operating the app under the support contact listed below. By using the app, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.
2. Information we handle
Account and profile information
When you sign in with Google, the app receives account information made available through Google Sign-In, such as your account identifier, name, email address, and profile image. The app also asks you to provide a phone number before you continue. You can update that number in Settings.
Circle information
We process circle invite codes, circle membership, roles, join requests, and related event records so circles can be created, managed, and used. Your name, profile image, phone number, membership, and activity details may be shown to active members of the same circle. Circle owners can manage member roles and join requests.
Activity and device information
When Android activity monitoring is enabled, the app can record a phone screen unlock time and the device battery level. The app also uses a Firebase Cloud Messaging token to route notifications to your device. A token is a technical delivery identifier, not your phone number.
SOS and support information
When you trigger an SOS, the app creates an SOS event for your circle. If you grant location permission and a location is available, the app can attach a one-time current location to that SOS event. If you contact support, we process the details and attachments you choose to send.
Settings
Your chosen app language and notification preferences may be stored so they can be applied when you use the app again.
3. How we use information
- To authenticate your account and maintain your profile.
- To create and operate circles, handle invitations and join requests, and show member activity.
- To send greetings, SOS alerts, and other notifications you or your circle initiate.
- To provide call and WhatsApp contact actions using phone numbers shared within your circle.
- To protect, troubleshoot, and maintain the service and respond to support requests.
4. How information is shared
With your circle: Information needed for circle features—including profile details, phone number, activity time, battery level, greetings, and SOS details—is available to the relevant circle members according to app access and membership rules. An SOS location, when available, is shared with the circle receiving that SOS.
Service providers: The app uses Google Sign-In and Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Cloud Messaging, to authenticate users, store app data, and deliver notifications. A Cloudflare Worker routes app notification requests and sends them through Firebase Cloud Messaging. These providers process information to provide the service under their own terms and privacy documentation.
Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or the public. We do not sell personal information.
5. Location information
SinyalHidup does not use location for continuous background tracking. Location permission is requested when an SOS is initiated so the app can attempt to obtain a one-time current location. You can deny or revoke location permission in Android settings; an SOS can still be sent without a location if the rest of the service is available.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as it is needed to operate the account, circles, activity history, and notifications, or as otherwise required by law. To request deletion of your account and associated personal information, follow the steps on our Account Deletion page. After a verified request is completed, profile, phone number, device token, activity, and account-linked SOS and greeting records are removed from active app systems. A minimal request and completion record may be retained when needed for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Information already delivered to another circle member’s device cannot be recalled. See the Account Deletion page for details.
7. Security
We use service providers and technical measures intended to protect information, including authenticated access to app data and encrypted network connections supported by those services. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your choices
- Update your phone number and language in the app’s Settings.
- Manage notification and location permissions in Android settings.
- Leave a circle or ask its owner to update your membership.
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your account information, subject to applicable law and verification.
9. Children’s privacy
SinyalHidup is intended for people who can consent to the processing of their account and contact information under the laws that apply to them. A parent or legal guardian should contact us if a child’s information has been provided without appropriate permission.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will update the effective date on this page when a revision is published. Continued use after a revision takes effect means the updated policy applies to your use of the service.
